Dixie's Room
So we've been trying to get the nursery ready for a little bit now. It's been, well, interesting. Since we are staying at Paul's parent's house while they are on a mission, space is limited. We have set up the nursery in the studio. There are some things to work around but after some moving and some creativity, I think it might just work out. So here are some before and after pictures. It's a tight fit for the crib so we've got motivation to lose the weight!

3 Weeks and Counting
And we have dilation! I am at about a 3 the doctor said today at the appointment. So basically she could come anytime or right on time, but it's not likely that she will go over. It also means I can be induced at 39 weeks which is in two weeks. I told him I want to just let her come and he told me that at 39 weeks I could change my mind. I haven't had any contractions at all, just was miserable on Tuesday with some pressure...so much so I could hardly walk. But the past two days I have felt pretty good. My belly continues to grow and she continues to try to push her way out in all directions. Now we just have to get things ready!

McBee/Clark Family Baby Shower
My sisters-in-law all got together to throw me a shower. We made it a family affair with my mom's side of the family. I got some great gifts from everyone. Thanks to everyone for your love and support!
Ward/Friend Baby Shower
My friend Sara was so kind as to offer to throw me a shower. She is so sweet! We invited most of the ward and then some of my friends as well. These pictures aren't in order but there are a bunch. We feel so thankful for such great friends who are willing to get us so much stuff to help with Dixie. We got a lot of clothes, diapers and other fun things. Thanks everyone for your kindness and love. We appreciate you all!
A childhood friend, Heather, with her three girls (one was born in November). Her dad is actually my doctor! It was nice to have her there and her girls are so sweet.
I am one of the Activity Day Girls leaders so I invited the girls and their moms. This is Lauren, a girl after my own heart...she's a swimmer. And she loves this jacket! Her mom was trying to get her to take it off for the picture but she refused cause she loves it so much.
A picture of some of the people that came. My Visiting Teaching partner is on the left, Chrissie. Her little boy is already 3 1/2 months. And he's got a cute name, Dylan Danger...no kidding. The rest are also ward members, Susanne, Julie, Hailey, Chris and Chris. Such great friends.
This is Isabella. Also an Activity Day girl. This was her first baby shower and she was so excited to be there since her mom has gone to so many without her. She's a talker but definitely entertainment!
This is Hailey. She's a sweet Activity Day girl too. She recently started coming to primary since I am also her teacher there. It makes me feel good that she comes because of me.
This is Madi, another Activity Day girl. She's the most shy of them all, yet so sweet. Her and her mom got me a bath for Dixie and I guess I didn't realize you could register for pink so they got me blue but she was insisting in the store that I should get pink since I was having a girl. Turns out I got 2 baths, one blue and one pink. One does have to be returned so maybe some sheets can be bought.

Legacy Center Baby Shower
I have some great co-workers who threw me a shower on Wednesday. It was nice to see people and to eat some food. I got some great gifts. I only took pictures of the ones people made there though. Kalli had thrown a shower for her sister and they had done this activity there. She had some leftover material so she brought it to mine. Basically people could decorate plain white onesies for me. She didn't get to see them all so I told her I would take some pictures of them. Then that prompted a post! So here are the pictures of these cute onesies that mostly my lifeguards/instructors made for me. Thanks everyone for your thoughtfulness and kindness!

Baby Dixie Update
Today I went in for my appointment with the doctor. Before I went in, I went to work for a bit. As I was sitting at my desk, I looked up at the calendar and decided to start counting the weeks. 5 more weeks from tomorrow! Crazy!
I had an ultrasound today and last time I went the doctor told me I was measuring big. The tech was checking things out and measuring all the different things. We were talking about how I was told I was measuring big and turns out I am. Dixie is weighing in at a nice 6lbs 11oz and I have 5 weeks more! No wonder I'm having so much trouble...she's running out of space! So if this is in fact the case, the doc says babies grow 1/2 pound each week. This puts her near 9lbs at birth. I know I was a big baby (10lbs 5oz), but I was hoping I wouldn't produce such large babies! :) The tech was showing us pictures of her in there too. She got one of her face. I was debating whether or not to post it, because frankly, it just looks creepy. But for your enjoyment, I decided I had better. That way, we can all be happy when she comes and looks just plain adorable rather than freaky! I'm getting so excited as it gets closer and closer.

Being Pregnant Can Be Weird...
So for the very first time last night, I saw my stomach actually move on it's own. I was sitting on the couch, watching tv and little Dixie started to move (I'm pretty sure she's been doing sommersaults). I've felt her plenty but never seen it on the outside. It was a little creepy (my sis would think VERY CREEPY) but so EXCITING at the same time. She's definitely running out of space in there and pushing on my ribs and stuff. I'm getting more and more uncomfortable, but it's worth it, right? I'm sure it is. 6 weeks! Can you even believe it? I can't (well my body can...). Anyways, tomorrow I have an appointment and we are having an ultrasound. They are my favorite cause I can actually see her. I'll have to post pics if we get some.
