Here's a video with Dixie doing her favorite things. She's stripped down to her diaper and climbing in the dirty clothes basket. I don't know why she loves doing this but she does it pretty often.

Happy 1st Birthday Dixie! (Even if Mom can't post until a month later...)
We have had sickness in our home. Off an on for about 6 weeks now. It's not been a good winter that way. We've had fevers, throw up, colds, RSV, ear infections, sore throats and the flu. It's been rough and so I've put off blogging. But alas, I am finally doing it.
Dixie turned 1 on February 5. We just had a small party here at our house with Grandma and Grandpa McBee and Jackson. I made cupcakes since I didn't want to sacrifice a whole cake (or clean a whole cake up!). I have tons of pictures and videos so enjoy. Dixie is getting to be so much fun. Besides the sickness she's so good natured. She loves books. LOOOOOOVES books. She will go after those first and bring her favorites to you over and over and over again. There are a couple we got from Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jeff for Christmas that we have to hide she wants them read so often. She loves the ones that you lift the flap. She runs constantly and already knows how to push Mommy and Daddy's buttons. If you tell her no, she takes that as, oh let me touch that a million more times cause I'm not supposed to! She's still a great eater, but has developed this habit lately of spitting things out. Yep, she will put it back in her mouth after spitting it out which grosses us out, but hey, she's 1. We hope this phase will pass quickly. She does great feeding herself, but somethings Mom isn't ready for her to feed to herself. :) She loves going outside. She loves stairs and has learned finally how to go down them. She'd do that all day long if we'd let her. Up and down. She sleeps great (except when she's sick). She's finally got some hair growing in and maybe one day Mommy can do something with it. Her hair is looking a lot like Mommy's did when I was 1 with nothing up top and long curls in the back. By long I mean enough to grab into a teeny tiny pony that won't really be a pony! She loves other children, especially her brother. They have a lot of fun together despite the age difference. So there you have it, our little girl keeps growing and learning. We love her so much and we're glad she's a part of our family.

So I tried for 2 days to post videos and I guess they are too long to post or something. They wouldn't load. If you want, I'll email them to you. Just let me know if you do want them.
