Oklahoma Trip

We arrived home today after a fun trip to see my parents in Oklahoma. We were able to see my two besties from high school, Luffly and Sammy Jo, as well. They've never met Dixie and I hadn't met Sammy Jo's little boy Gavin. Dinner was late as Sammy Jo had to work until late so Dixie was a little tough. She was even more tough when it came to me or Paul trying to hold little Gavin. She was NOT having it. Yes, I have a jealous child. We went to the Zoo with Nana and Papa and goodness it was HOT! We've been hot here with only our swamp cooler to cool the house down, but it's been nice in Utah. Yesterday it was 105 in Oklahoma. I don't think I ever felt cool. The OKC Zoo has a baby elephant so that was fun to see. By the way, a baby elephant is still a big animal! It was nice to spend some time with Nana and Papa. Friday we drove down to Norman and saw the OU campus. I finally bought myself a few Sooner Pride things and couldn't resist getting Dixie a new shirt too. Paul and I had a date Friday night and went to a great restaurant, Bravo! and then went to see Captain America. We loved it. It was nice for Nana and Papa to get to spend some time with Dixie as well. She was a lot more comfortable going to them and playing with them with Mom and Dad out of the picture. All in all it was a great trip and we're glad we got to see some family. I think Dixie is glad to be home though. She wouldn't sleep on the planes but once we got to the car she was trying to fasten her seat belt herself so she could pass out. She was out before I got to the gate to pay for the parking. She had a nice long nap once we got home too, which was great for Mom and Dad to lay down as well. Here are some pictures of our trip. Nana and Papa have pictures from the Zoo that I forgot to put on my picasa so I guess I will have to wait to get those!

Jackson's Haircut

Since having Jackson for 6 weeks, he has been talking to us about getting his hair cut the way Daddy cuts his hair. For those of you that don't know, Paul buzzes his head every few weeks. So when he got here, we did it. It's starting to grow back by now, but it was bald!

He thought it was funny to do the old man buzz first

After

He was shocked how much hair came off his head. He was more shocked that about that much hair comes off my head each trim.
